William Vetter
Funeral mass was held Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Selz, for William “Bill” Vetter, 89, Minot and formerly of Selz, who died Monday, Aug. 3 at Manor Care in Minot.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Bill was born July 18, 1920 near Selz, the son of Hans R. and Magdalena (Keller) Vetter. He grew up and attended rural school near Selz. He married Eva Selensky on June 21, 1943 in Selz. They lived and farmed north of Selz, moving into Selz in 1979 and to Minot in 2003.
He was a member of Our Lady of Grace in Minot and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Selz., the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Harvey Wells Eagles Aerie #3080.
He is survived by his wife, Minot; two sons, Marvin, Minot, and Lester, Surrey; a daughter, Beatrice Grasmoen, Minot; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Casper Vetter, Dickinson; Victor Vetter, Bismarck; Ray Vetter, Great Falls, Mont., and Joe Vetter, Minot.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leonard and Richard; sisters, Lena Selensky, Barbara Schneider and Mary Grossman.
