Elizabeth Schneider

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Selz, for Elizabeth Schneider, 79, Harvey, who died Thursday, July 16 at St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Elizabeth was born March 15, 1930 near Orrin, the daughter of George and Theresa (Kuntz) Bachmeier. She grew up and attended school near Orrin. She married Ambrose Schneider on Nov. 6, 1951 in Fulda. They made their home on the Schneider family farm north of Selz. They retired from farming and moved to Harvey in the fall of 2000.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church of Selz and the Christian Mothers of America.

She is survived by her husband; six daughters, Linda Schneider, Jamestown; Geri Stephan, Fingal; Elaine Koble, Anamoose; Diane Streifel, Esmond; Jackie Wolfe, Selz; Laurie Bredeson,, Andover, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, August Bachmeier, Sumner, Wash.; Ann Selzler, Harvey; Mary Held, Harvey; Phyllis Bickler, Monroe, Wash.; Helen Wienicke, Portland, Ore.; Carol Dresser, Cordova, Tenn.; and Nick Bachmeier, Orrin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert; a daughter, Judy; and a sister, Cecilia Heilman.
