Colleen Offner
A simple celebration of the life of Colleen Offner, 71, Everett, Wash., was held at her home on Wednesday, May 20, 2009. She died at her home on Saturday, May 16.
Burial was in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett.
Colleen was born Nov. 24, 1936 in Towner, the daughter of Louis and Lillian (Hermanson) Thomas. She graduated from Towner High School. In October 1954 she married Marvin Eugene Offner. In 1968 they moved to Everett, where Marvin took a position working for Brien Motors. Marvin died in 1983. After Marvin’s death, Colleen returned to school and became a health unit coordinator/cardiac monitor tech, a position she held at Providence Medical Center for 22 years.
She is survived by daughters, Georgia Ehli and Sherry Johnson, both of Snohomish, Wash.; sons, Kurt Offner, Palm Springs, Calif., and Kent Offner, Everett; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Thomas, Coronado, Calif.; and a sister, Amy Bryn, Towner.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Kim; a brother, Kenneth Thomas; a sister, Carol Knutson; and her parents.
