Rochus Hager Jr.

Funeral mass was held Friday, May 8, 2009 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey, for Rochus George Hager Jr., 58, Balta, who died Monday, May 4 at Trinity Medical Center in Minot.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Rochus was born June 2, 1950 at Rugby, the son of Rochus and Amelia (Mack) Hager. He grew up on the family arm and attended country school. He married Sylvia Stafford on Oct. 10, 1970. They lived on the Hager family farm south of Balta.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Orrin.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Tom, Bismarck; three granddaughters; two sisters, Rose Mary Schell, Minot, and Ramona Schaan, Elk Grove, Calif.; a brother, Hilary, Buffalo, Wyo.; and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
