Marian Grumbo
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, for Marian Grumbo, 69, who died Friday, May 1 in Bismarck.
Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Marian was born Jan. 26, 1940 in Rugby, the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Graber) Slaubaugh. She was raised and educated at Wolford and graduated from Wolford High School in 1957. She continued her education at the Anne Carlsen Business School in Jamestown from 1958 until 1960. She was employed by Quentin Burdick during his 1960 senatorial campaign. She then worked for the North Dakota Easter Seal Society. She married Charles Grumbo on Nov. 10, 1962 in Jamestown. After their marriage they lived in Bismarck until moving to Fargo in 1968. In 1969 they moved to Belmont, Calif. In 1970 they returned to Bis-
marck.
She is survived by her husband; her mother, Elizabeth S. Anderson, Wolford; three sisters, Catherine Shrock, Myokka City, Fla.; Gloria Douville, Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Paula Eigsti, Hutchinson, Kans.; and a brother, Daniel B. Slaubaugh, Wolford.
She was preceded in death by her father and her step-father, Harold Anderson.
