Mary Kramlich
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Evangel Assembly of God Church, Bismarck, for Mary Kramlich, 87, Bismarck, who died Sunday, March 22 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.
Burial will be in Fisher Cemetery, Tappen, in the spring.
Mary was born May 13, 1921 in rural Tappen, the daughter of Philip and Barbara (Kapp) Mittleider. She was raised and educated at Tappen. On Aug. 15, 1938 she married Emil Kramlich at Steele. They lived in Rugby for several years, where they owned K&K Lumber.
She was a member of the WM (Women’s Ministry), the Legion Auxiliary and sold Avon for many years.
She is survived by her husband; five daughters, Hilda Giese, Buffalo; Betty Lang, Bismarck; Mary Lou Retzer, Bismarck; Shirley Barnick, Stanford, Mont.; and Gloria Steichen, Goodrich; a son, Jerry Kramlich, Exeter, Calif.; three brothers, Rudolph Mittleider, Israel Mittleider, and Harry Mittleider, all of Tappen; 22 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Maggie Geist, Katie Wolf, Emma Kramlich, Carrie Dockter and Lydia Binder; three brothers, Fred, Theobold, and Philip; a grandson; and two sons-in-law.
