Minn. State announces President’s List

Minnesota State Community and Technical College has named 700 students to its President’s List for the 2014 fall semester. To earn this award for scholastic achievement, a student must complete 12 or more college-level credits for the semester with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The highest attainable average is a 4.0.

Area students named to the President’s List are: Megan Wald, Maddock; Mackenzie Koenig, Rugby; Joshua Schmitke, Willow City.

Area students graduate from UND

GRAND FORKS – The University of North Dakota held its winter commencement ceremonies Dec. 19, at the Chester Fritz Auditorium on campus. About 900 students were eligible to walk across the stage to receive diplomas or certificates. Below are area names of North Dakota students who were eligible to graduate, listed alphabetically by hometown.

Area students named to NDSU dean’s list

FARGO – Area students were among the 3,364 North Dakota State University students to be placed on the Fall 2014 dean’s list.

Area students on the list include: Josh Stutrud, Barton, crop and weed science; Brittany L. Fritel, Knox, family and consumer science education; Janna M. Rice, Maddock, equine science; Kathleen G. Rice, Maddock, nursing; Nigel V. Hageness, Rugby, university studies; Beth A. Halls, Rugby, animal science; Matthew L. Johnson, Rugby, mechanical engineering; Kayla J. A student must earn a 3.5 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least nine class credits to qualify for the list.
