Leeds students take part in reading program
Leeds Elementary Students recently took part in a reading program sponsored by the Jason Rohrer Horace Mann Insurance Co. in Minot. The contest took place from Oct. 1 until Dec. 16th. Every night the students read for twenty minutes and brought back a slip signed by their parents. The more nights the student read, the more slips he/she entered into the drawing to win a bicycle. Leeds Elementary read a total of 20,000 min. The two students who read the most were Leif Nybo and Olivia Follman. They were each given a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble. Second place readers were Mallorie Sabo and Kaiden Jackson, third place readers were Jaylen Anderson and Holdyn Jacobson. Winners of the bike drawing were Maegan Parent and Damien Herman.
