Bottineau FBLA chapter adopted by Rugby peers
The Future Business Leaders of America Adopt-A-Chapter program is designed to encourage the recruitment of high schools that currently do not have FBLA chapters. In doing so, the adopting chapter must follow adoption terms and have all verification forms signed and submitted by a designated deadline to the FBLA State Office.
On Nov. 19, 2013 the Rugby FBLA officer team traveled to Bottineau and conducted the ceremony to adopt the Bottineau High School FBLA Chapter. The evening consisted of two parts: The Officer Installation followed by The Chapter Installation. Josh Pfeifer, RHS FBLA president, conducted the formal procedure assisted by his officer team: Hannah Voeller, Kassi Jorgenson, Ashley Schmaltz and adviser Paola Trottier. Each BHS FBLA officer lit their candle and professed to accept the responsibilities of their respective positions.
FBLA is designed to promote future business leaders and exactly what those words represent to the organization was explained and the Nine Goals of FBLA were read. At the conclusion of the ceremony all members present pledged the FBLA Creed.
The Bottineau chapter is led by president Kendra Meyer, vice president Ashleigh Jerde, secretary Alexis Kihle, treasurer Paige Vad, historian Rachel Fix, student council representative Kaytlyn Aufforth and adviser Shari Jerde.
The RHS FBLA extends sincere congratulations to all BHS FBLA members and a warm welcome to the FBLA family, and wishes good luck in what promises to be a very exciting year carrying out the 2013-2014 theme “Excellence in Action.”
