By Staff | May 13, 2011

Keaton Nelsen, 4th grader at Leeds Elementary, received 1st place in the grades 4-6 division of the State Fish Stamp Competition. The State Fish Stamp competition is open to all students in grades 4-12, and is sponsored by Wildlife Forever. He has been invited to attend the State Fish Expo in Athens, Texas, in June. As a 1st place winner, he is eligible for one of 13 national awards, which will be announced at the Expo. The national awards are selected by a panel of judges except for one, the People’s Choice Award. This award is determined by the number of online votes cast for each eligible participant. To vote for Keaton’s entry, go to www.statefishart.com and follow the Vote Here link. People may vote once per day until June 21.
