Rugby musicians ‘star’ at state festival

Several Rugby students earned star ratings at the state music festival earlier this month.

Five students sang solos and earned a star for superior performance. They included: Keenan Sattler, “Down Among the Dead Men”; Theresa Mack, “Kommit ein Schlanker”; David Miller, “When I Think Upon The Maidens”; Abigail Jenkins, “Pieta, Signore”; and Anne Schmaltz, “Like Any Foolish Moth I Fly.”

Several Rugby groups also earned superior ratings.

T. Mack and Rachel Mack earned one for their duet of: “For the Beauty of the Earth”; T. Mack, Jenkins, Schmaltz for “Stand Upon the Rock”; T. Mack, Jenkins, Schmaltz and Sattler for “When the Day Comes”; T. Mack, A. Hovland, C. Hovland, Schmaltz, Jenkins and R. Mack with “Maidens Remember.”
