Stephanie LeVeque, a mother working a full-time job, believes in giving her all. LeVeque is a member of the North Dakota National Guard and is furthering her education taking online courses through Columbia Southern University. She was recently recognized with high honors at the university.

Along with high honors, she received a letter of recognition and a certificate from Columbia Southern University announcing her nomination to the National Society of Leadership and Success for the spring semester. NSLS is an honor society that is merit-based and by invitation only.

LeVeque, a long-time resident living in Rugby, is originally from Belcourt and an enrolled member with the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa located on the Turtle Mountain Reservation.

Two of LeVeque’s children, Aaric Falcon and Eileena Falcon, achieved high honors at Rugby Public Schools for the first semester of the year.

“I am honored to share that I have been invited by the Columbia Southern University Chapter of the NSLS as a Presidential Member,” she said. “This achievement is especially meaningful to me as I balance many roles in my daily life. I am a mother of five children, a member of the North Dakota National Guard and I work full time. My responsibilities are broad and demanding, and effective time management is essential. Nevertheless, I knew earning my degree was important — not only for my career, but as an example for my children.”

LeVeque added, “I am proud to say that I will be graduating from Columbia Southern University this year, a milestone I could not have reached without the unwavering support of my family. Their encouragement fuels me every day, especially seeing my two oldest children earn a place on the honor roll just last month. With role models like them, how could I not push myself to achieve my very best?”
