New NDSU Extension agent joins Pierce County

By JENNIFER BERCIER - Staff Writer | Oct 11, 2025

Jennifer Bercier/PCT Natalie Wibe, right, is the new Extension agent for Pierce County shown in this photo taken Wednesday, Oct. 1. Sandy Scherr, administrative assistant, is at the left.

Natalie Wibe is the new Pierce County Extension agent. She started work Wednesday, Sept. 3. Wibe fills the position formerly held by Brenden Klebe.

Wibe grew up in New Mexico. She received her degree in agriculture, business and economics with a minor in marketing and financing from New Mexico University. While attending college she met her husband, David. David and Natalie married, then started building their family. They moved their family to North Dakota, where she accepted a teaching position at Rugby High School.

“I’m thrilled to begin my journey as the new Agriculture and Natural Resource Extension agent in Pierce County,” Wibe said. “I look forward to meeting and getting to know the amazing people who make this community so special. Through monthly Community Connection meetings I hope to start this next year, I want to bring neighbors of all ages together to learn from experts on topics that matter to you, helping to build a stronger and more connected Pierce County.”

Every opportunity she gets, Wibe’s also promoting what NDSU Extension 4-H has to offer families across North Dakota.

4-H awards presentation set

Awards will be presented later this month to Pierce County 4-H members for their hard work through the last 4-H season.

The event will be Sunday, Oct. 26, from 3-6 p.m., in the Pierce County Community Center at the fairgrounds in Rugby. There will be appetizers and the presentation of awards.

North Dakota State University 4-H, the largest and only research-based youth organization in the state, is available to all youth from ages 8 to 18 throughout every county in North Dakota. Members of 4-H clubs are able to participate in contests, earning their way to national 4-H events.
