Memorial Day program set for Monday
A Memorial Day program will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Memorial Hall at the Clarence Larson American Legion Post #23 in Rugby.
The 30-minute program will include the advancing and retiring of colors, introduction of military personnel, a keynote address given by Dale Niewoehner, and musical selections performed by members of the Rugby High School band, directed by Kari Hill.
Following the program, officials will place a wreath at the Fallen Soldiers Monument outside of Memorial Hall in honor of those military members from Pierce County who died serving their country.
A lunch, open to everyone, will be available in the basement of Memorial Hall. Freewill donations will be accepted.
