The Pierce County Tribune’s Sue Sitter received the 2022 North Dakota American Legion Press Association Award at the North Dakota American Legion’s Winter Conference, held Jan. 28-29.

A statement by the North Dakota American Legion said the award is given “to recognize individuals or groups from and throughout the state who have made major accomplishments in publicizing or promoting American Legion areas of interest that include one or more pillars of the American Legion: Americanism, Children and Youth, National Security and Veterans Affairs.”

Past Clarence Larson American Legion Post 23 Commander John Gustafson and Veterans Service Officer Ron Montonye nominated Sitter for the award.
