RHS students perform at Northwest International Music Festival
Six Rugby High School students performed at the Northwest International Festival of Music held Nov. 5 and 6 at Minot State University.
The students had been chosen to perform at the festival after auditioning in September.
Performing with the symphonic band were Alex Whorley, who played the alto saxophone, and Emily Yoder, who played the clarinet. Amy Volk played the clarinet with the concert band.
Angeline Risovi and Amber Selensky sang soprano with the cantabile choir. Alec Wolf sang bass in the honor choir at the festival.
Wolf also received a four-year participation award at the festival.
RHS Band instructor Kari Hill said she was proud of the students.
“Congratulations Panthers!” Hill said.
