Sheriff’s office sees rise in calls for March

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office saw an uptick of calls in March over the previous month, according to a report released by Sheriff Josh Siegler April 5.

Siegler reported deputies responded to 44 calls in total with four fire calls, one traffic collision and five calls to assist other agencies. Deputies made four prisoner transports and nine arrests. Siegler reported his office issued four citations and served 16 court papers. Sheriff’s personnel also served six warrants.

Arrests made by Siegler’s office included one for criminal trespass, one for violation of sex offender registration requirements and one burn ban violation.

Sheriff’s personnel did not respond to any medical calls during the month.

The March total topped that of February, when personnel responded to 36 calls.
