Quiet month for sheriff’s office
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office reported a relatively quiet January to Pierce County Commissioners at their regular meeting held Tuesday, Feb. 2.
Pierce County Sheriff Josh Siegler reported deputies responded to 24 total calls for the month.
Calls included one for a fire, one for a prisoner transport, one for a traffic collision and eight to assist other agencies. Deputies responded to no medical calls during the month.
The sheriff’s office made eight arrests including two for driving under the influence and one for driving under suspension. Five warrants were served.
Deputies also served 14 legal papers during the month.
