Sheriff’s office sees busy August
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office reported a total of 62 calls for the month of August, according to information from Sheriff Josh Siegler.
Twelve of the calls resulted in arrests. Two arrests were made for possession of methamphetamine, one for possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, one for tampering with evidence, one for fleeing in a motor vehicle, two for driving under suspension and one for reckless driving. Four warrants were served.
The sheriff’s office issued 35 citations and served 20 papers. The office responded to one medical call, one fire call and seven traffic accidents. The office responded to nine calls to assist other agencies and made seven prisoner transport runs for the month.
