Endowment Fund to distribute over $19K

The Rugby Community Endowment Fund is set to distribute $19,070 in grant funding to nine area organizations.

Grant recipients for 2019 are:

– Tri-County Senior Meals & Services: $2,000 for operating costs.

– Rugby’s Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library: $700 for books for kids.

– Good Samaritan Hospital Association: $3,000 for its ambulance project.

– Pierce County Food Pantry: $1,500 for Christmas food baskets and operating costs.

– Village Arts, Inc.: $4,000 for annual operating costs.

– Geographical Center Historical Society: $1,000 for building renovations.

– Rugby Public School District’s Music Department: $1,500 for instruments.

– Heart of America Germans from Russia: $3,670 for a new building at the Prairie Village Museum.

– Rugby Lions Club: $1,700 for Music in the Park.

Donations to the endowment fund are welcomed and encouraged, as the fund is built by the generosity of donors.
