Appliance replacement available to eligible applicants

By Staff | Aug 23, 2019

Souris Basin Planning Council (SBPC) is accepting applications from homeowners in Pierce County to replace old, inefficient appliances. SBPC will only replace appliances built before December 2000 and funding is on a first come, first serve basis. Only low- and very low-income homeowner-occupied homes will be eligible for assistance. Applications may be found at www.sourisbasin.org/housingrehab. Complete applications and all supporting documentation are due September 30, 2019 at 3:00 pm.

Priority will be given to projects assisting very low-income households, elderly individuals, disabled individuals, and minorities. Only those applicants meeting eligibility requirements will be considered. Expenses already incurred or incurred prior to grant award are not eligible project expenses. Applications for already completed projects will not be reviewed or considered.

SBPC eagerly serves the communities and counties within North Dakota Region 2. SBPC has been a partner in progress for cities, counties, non-profits, businesses and individuals since 1972. Communities are central to SBPC’s programing, activities and advocacy, with people-focused strategies. SBPC provides a variety of programs and services to assist communities, entrepreneurs and partner service organizations. More information can be found at www.sourisbasin.org. Funding for this program was provided by a USDA Rural Development Housing Preservation Grant and funds from the Rugby Job Development Authority.
