County board approves 2020 preliminary budget
Pierce County commissioners approved the county’s preliminary budget for 2020 during a meeting Tuesday morning at the Pierce County Courthouse.
The county is projected to levy 58 mills, or over $1.53 million in 2020. Over $1.015 million of that total will be levied for the county’s general fund and the remaining $516,782 will be levied for special revenue fund.
The county projects $837,998.27 in general fund revenues and over $4.89 in special revenue fund revenues in 2020.
The county projects over $2.5 million in general fund appropriations and over $5.9 million in special revenue fund appropriations next year.
A public hearing on the county budget will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
