Shoppers invited to ‘Ladies’ Night Out’

Rugby businesses are inviting shoppers to enjoy a spring stroll, snacks and special sales next Thursday evening when they host “Ladies’ Night Out.”

Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors’ Bureau Executive Director Darylanna Durkee described the evening as “Just an evening to check out the retailers in town on a Thursday open late night, so just shopping!”

Bonnie Berginski of Rockin’ Relics told the Tribune she was thinking of “probably a pasta night; I’ll serve chicken alfredo or spaghetti.”

Cindy Brossart of Cindy’s Country Cupboard next door said, “I’m going to have 20 percent off storewide, from 5-8 that evening. And I’ll be serving sparkling apple cider and some goodies.”

Jill McClintock of St. Michel Furniture said the evening’s events will center around whatever owner Rob St. Michel plans for his next promotion.

“We will definitely be open until eight that night, though,” McClintock said.

Darci Gross of Wild Minds Studio said owner Daunne Heilman “plans on having a bunch of little sales throughout the store. And then, Hidden Treasures is going to be here. Kimberly Lemieux from Hidden Treasures Greenhouse (in Rolette) is going to be here.”

Gross added with a smile, “(Lemieux’s) going to be here with some sneak-peek things she’s going to have at her greenhouse this season. So, we’re having sales and fun things!”

Jodie Kirchofner of Solid Ground Coffee Shop said, “We’ll be doing sales, of course, and then we’ll have hors d’ oeuvres and drinks.”

Across the street at Fashion and Flair Outlet, Dyvonne Zinck said, “We’re already having our anniversary sale. So, we plan to add an extra ten percent off everything in our store. We also plan to serve refreshments.”

Magnolia Wellness and Detox Spa is also among the businesses participating in the event. “I know we’re planning to stay open late (for the event),” said Patricia Pfeifer.

Melissa Kraft of the Brown Lantern said her store plans to stay open late Thursday as well. “I haven’t decided yet exactly what I’m going to do,” she said, “but I know we’ll be serving wine and hors d’ oeuvres.”

“It’ll be a fun night to get out and shop the new spring items.”
