Time & Talent Auction to be held next Sunday
First Lutheran Church of Rugby will hold its second Time & Talent Auction Sunday, March 24, at the church.
The event will start at 5:30 p.m. with a BBQs supper and freewill offering. A silent auction will start at 6 p.m., along with live music by Kyle DeMontigny & Friends. The live auction will start at 6:30 p.m. Child care will be provided.
This year’s auction will see over 70 donated items considered a talent or service, including a personal gardener, electrical work, carpet cleaning, and bringing dinner to one’s home. One of the purposes of the auction is to celebrate talents belonging to persons of all ages.
The fundraiser helps the church continue programs, including camps and use by other persons and organizations.

Hoffmeyer named NDTC CEO/GM
The NDTC Board of Directors announced in February that they hired Rodney Hoffmeyer at the new CEO/General Manager. Rodney is the current Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the company. He began his career with Contel in 1979, which later became NDTC.
“I look forward to working with NDTC’s excellent group of employees and customers,” said Rodney Hoffmeyer. “We will continue to provide superior communications services to all the customers we serve.”
In January, the board of directors started the national search for a new CEO following the retirement announcement of current CEO/GM, Dave Dircks. Dircks has served as our trusted leader for over 25 years, and will retire on March 29, 2019.
Mr. Hoffmeyer’s experience in the telecommunications industry will make it an easy transition.
Please help us, NDTC employees and board of directors, in congratulating Rodney Hoffmeyer. We look forward to continue working with him toward the success of NDTC.
