1% Grant recipients announced

Rugby Convention & Visitors Bureau 1% Grants have been awarded for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. Twenty grant applications (totaling $19,017.16 in requests) were reviewed between December 2017 and September 2018. A total amount of $17,017.16 was approved by the Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors. Of the $17,017.16 approved, $16,266.05 was awarded to local organizations for the purpose of promoting and attracting visitors to Rugby.

– The Daryl Kuhnhenn Memorial Ride submitted 1 application and was awarded $1,000.

– Geographical Center Historical Society (Prairie Village Museum) submitted 4 applications and was awarded a total of $5,815.40.

– Good Samaritan Health Society Foundation submitted 1 application and was awarded $693.50.

– Heart of America Medical Center Auxiliary submitted 1 application and was awarded $214.35.

– Little Flower Parent Teacher Organization submitted 1 application and was awarded $200.96.

– Miss Geographical Center Pageant submitted 1 application and was awarded $460.

– North Central Ag Show submitted 1 application and was awarded $1,000.

– NDSU Extension Service submitted 1 application and was awarded $398.

– Pierce County Relay for Life submitted 4 applications and was awarded a total of $1,202.60.

– Rugby Highschool Future Business Leaders of America submitted 1 application and was awarded $370.75.

– Rugby Gymnastics submitted 1 application and was awarded $500.

– Rugby Lions Club submitted 2 applications and was awarded a total of $4,000.

– Village Arts submitted 1 application and was awarded $410.49.

The Rugby Convention & Visitors Bureau reviews 1% Grant applications on a quarterly basis in March, June, September, and December. The applications must be submitted to the CVB office by the 20th of the preceding month. Proof of expenditures must also be submitted to the CVB within 120 days of the date the grant was approved, or the applicant will forfeit the funds. 1% grant info and application forms can be found at rugbynorthdakota.com/grants.
