Endowment fund distributes $17K+

The Rugby Community Endowment Fund distributed more than $17,000 to 11 local grant recipients last Friday afternoon at Mack Law Offices.

The $17, 248 distribution “represents the largest annual grant disbursement in the history of the Rugby Community Endowment Fund,” according to a written statement by board member Galen J. Mack.

“Members of the advisory board and all recipients thank everyone who has donated to the Rugby Community Endowment Fund to make possible these annual grants to non-profit organizations in our community,” Mack continued.

Grant recipients for 2018 were:

-The Rugby Lions’ Club Music in the Park Program: $2,000

-Good Samaritan Hospital Association HAMC 3D Mammography Project: $3,000

-Tri County Senior Meals: $1,000

-Growing Place Daycare Center Updating and Cleaning Projects: $1,500

-Geographical Center Historical Society Building Repairs and Renovation: $2,000

-Village Arts, Inc. Community Choir and Orchestra Concert Programs: $2,565

-Pierce County Food Pantry Food Program and Christmas Baskets: $1,000

-Rugby Public Schools Music Department/Musical Instruments for Student Use: $718

-Heart of America Library SEND Trunks Project: $1065

-Heart of America Germans from Russia Germans from Russia building in Rugby: $2,000

– Rugby Chamber of Commerce/CVB Christmas Lights at Northern Lights Tower: $400

Mack continued, “Donations to the Rugby Community Endowment Fund, a perpetual endowment fund, are always welcome and currently being accepted.”
