Chad William Derrick, of Jamestown, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia a Class B misdemeanor. He was ordered to pay $250 in fees, and he was placed on 360 days unsupervised probation.
Tyler Robert Akins, of Rugby, pleaded guilty to reckless driving a Class B misdemeanor. He wars ordered to complete a chemical dependency evaluation and recommended treatment, and pay $750 in fees. He was sentenced to 30 days’ confinement at the Heart of America Correctional & Treatment Center with 30 days suspended, and 360 days unsupervised probation. A Class B misdemeanor charge of possession/consumption of alcohol by a person under 21 against Akins was dismissed.
Joey Allen Mattern, of Rugby, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault-domestic violence, felonious restraint and terrorizing all Class C felonies. Mattern also pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct a Class B misdemeanor. On the felony charges he was ordered to complete 32 hours per week of community service; have no contact with the victim; and pay $2,550 in fees. He was sentenced to five years’ confinement with the Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation with five years suspended and 148 days’ credit for time served, and five years supervised probation. On the misdemeanor charge he was sentenced to 30 days’ confinement at HACTC with 30 days’ credit for time served. A Class A misdemeanor charge of disobedience of a judicial order against Mattern was dismissed.
