Chalmer’s First Addition getting positive feedback
Chalmer’s First Addition is getting feedback, as well as lots sold.
During her report Liz Heisey, executive director of the Rugby Job Development Authority, informed the JDA board of directors during its regular meeting Wednesday morning that three families have bought four lots within Chalmer’s Addition since the board’s meeting in July.
Heisey also informed the board that the JDA is receiving positive feedback on Chalmer’s.
Other items in the report included: attending a joint “What’s On Your Mind” event with the Rugby Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau; discussion with Rugby High School instructor Paola Trottier on a co-op program in which one or two seniors would work two hours per day in the office during school; a new renaissance zone application coming; and the JDA hosting a community luncheon on Sept. 12 at Dakota Farms.
– The board discussed the preliminary budget for 2018. No action was taken.
– The board approved a motion to create a communications committee.
– The board approved a motion to have the JDA register its own domain name and have the North Dakota Telephone Company do hosting for the JDA website.
– The board approved the treasurer’s report and meeting minutes from July 19.
