On July 6, at approximately 3 p.m., the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, Rugby Police Department, and ND Parole and Probation conducted a search of a residence located at 312 1st St. NW, Rugby ND.

Information was provided to our office that 30-year-old Eric Poile, of Rugby, may have violated the conditions of his probation and also the conditions of registration that he is required to comply with as a registered sex offender.

Poile was arrested, taken into custody and is currently being housed at the Heart of America Correctional and Treatment Center. Poile is charged in Pierce County District Court with Sexual Offender Registration Violation, a class C felony. Punishable by up to 5 years in prison, and/or up to a $10,000 fine. Bond in this matter has been set at $20,000.00.
