Rugby Police seeking help in theft cases
The Rugby Police Department seeks help from the public in multiple theft cases.
The police department asks persons with information related to property crimes to call 776-6112. The department also reminds residents to take care in securing their property; keys and other valuables should be removed from vehicles and doors should be locked.
On June 15 a white 2007 Chevrolet Suburban was taken from a downtown business, and a set of forks for a skid steer was stolen from contractors working at the First International Bank site. The Suburban was found the next day in Minot after a Facebook post.
Reported on June 13, a John Deere Z655 lawnmower and a 5’x8′ utility trailer was taken from Gooseneck. The incident may be related to a May 13 report from a resident north of Rugby. The resident reported a male driving a white pickup with tribal plates had came to his property and asked to use an air tank to re-inflate a tire on a trailer with a lawnmower. The suspect drove off with the tire flat.
During the winter, a go-cart, which was awaiting engine repairs, was taken from Envision’s main station in Rugby.
