Hunter Safety Program comes to a close

The Hunter Safety Program held its final award ceremony Tuesday evening at Memorial Hall.
The program lasted over the course of eight weeks, during which instructors Greg Odden and Joe Tuchscherer taught 35 enrolled students safe gun handling and hunting ethics. Morgan Oppen also helped instruct.
All who were enrolled passed.
Pat Kuntz from P&J Hunting presented two $50 cash prizes to Grace Mahle and Macen Heisler.
Kent Christenson from Barton Sportsman’s Club gifted two guns to Asher Gross and Hailey Solem and four $50 gift cards to Ryli Kuhnhenn, Abbey Ortega, Logan Gronvold and Isaac Christenson.
Balzer Welk from Hardware Hank presented a gun to Kelsie Ebach.
Scheels in Minot also donated 18 $10 gift cards to the program.
