The Pierce County Endowment Fund has announced its 2016-17 grant awards. The endowment advisory committee has awarded $2,500 to Prairie Village Museum for children’s and family programming and $1,600.00 toTri-county Senior Meals and Services for support of senior meals in Pierce County.

Founded by local health care professionals to promote community health in 1982, the Pierce County Endowment Fund has evolved over the years with the goal of promoting community health in the broadest sense.

“The Pierce County Endowment Fund’s support has allowed the museum to provide quality, affordable programming, directly benefitting children and families who participate in activities like Museum Camp, Art Classes for Kids and the annual Village Fair,” said executive director Cathy Jelsing.

Administered by the North Dakota Community Foundation, Pierce County Endowment Fund donations are tax-deductible and some contributions may qualify donors for significant North Dakota income tax credits.

Organizations involved with promoting health and well being for community members of all ages are encouraged to apply for grants from the Pierce County Endowment Fund. Grant applications are welcome any time of year, preferably before November 1,” said fund advisory committee chair Dr. Brian Selland.
