Farm Credit Services to move locations
Farm Credit Services is moving locations on January 7.
The larger building will allow for Farm Credit Services and Schaan Crop Insurance to be together in one location.
“This office has become too small,” said Farm Credit Services’ Branch Manager Jesse Fahnestock. “We’re looking at a different building because we have split offices in town and this will help in merging the two businesses into one.”
The new building, which is in the final stages of construction, will be roughly 6800 square feet with nine offices, four work stations, a board meeting room and another larger meeting room.
The meeting room will be available for use for agriculture related meetings in the community, not just Farm Credit Services.
“It shows a commitment to the community,” Fahnestock said. “Agriculture is very important to the vitality of this community, and it shows how committed we are to Rugby and surrounding communities and to the farmer.”
According to Fahnestock, the move will allow for Farm Credit Services and Schaan Crop Insurance to better serve customers. “Since we will be intertwined, we’ll be able to communicate better because of the merge. With more space, we’ll able to be more efficient,” he said.
Fahnestock would like to thank Johnson’s Plumbing, B & J Excavating, Swanson Construction, Bartsch Electric, and Cleo Yoder for working on the building.
“We are very appreciative of those local contractors. We work better together when we’re in the same small town, and they have been very good to work with,” Fahnestock said.
Farm Credit Services will have a grand opening ceremony soon after its move-in is complete.
