Excellence in agriculture celebrated during Harvest Bowl
The NDSU Harvest Bowl program recognizes the success, dedication and hard work of outstanding agriculturists.
The success, dedication and hard work of outstanding agriculturists in 53 counties in North Dakota and several counties in Minnesota were honored during the 43rd annual Harvest Bowl program at North Dakota State University, on Nov. 4.
The 2016 Harvest Bowl honorees from Pierce County were Steve and Renae Dockter, Rugby.
Steve and Renae Dockter live near Rugby. He is chief executive officer of Envision, a diversified agricultural supply cooperative with locations in four communities. He began his agricultural career in 1981 as supervisor of the agronomy department at Farmers Union Oil Co. in Rugby and became general manager in 1990. He joined the Rugby branch of Farm Credit Services in 1997 as a loan officer and later became the branch manager. In 2010, he returned to Farmers Union Oil, now known as Envision. Renae is a deacon at Calvary Evangelical Free Church. Steve also is president of the Northwest North Dakota Cooperative Managers Association and vice president of the North Dakota Cooperative Managers Association, and received a Rugby FFA Chapter honorary degree. They have two children.
