The Elementary Art Club received a donation from Village Arts, Inc. of Rugby on Monday, November 14.

Representatives Bonnie Berginski and Sharon Baker presented a check to art club coordinator, Reverend Elaine Sveet.

The Elementary Art Club is in its second month of activities and has seen a greater turnout then expected. Over 70 children have joined, meaning that more volunteers are greatly needed, according to Sveet.

“No experience is necessary,” Sveet said. “They would just need to be willing to be here for one hour on Monday.”

Volunteers can help anywhere from one week up to one month at a time. Volunteers can be students in grades 7-12 who want to help after school or adults who are willing to free their schedule at that time. Contact Sveet to sign up to volunteer.

Elementary Art Club meets at Heart of America Library every Monday that school is in session from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
