Brandon Alan Kuhn, of Mandan, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance, theft of property, failure to appear after release/bail jumping all Class C felonies; and ingesting a controlled substance a Class A misdemeanor. He was ordered to complete a chemical dependency evaluation and recommended treatment, and have no contact with the victim, Anita Pennington, during probation. He was sentenced to three years’ confinement with the Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation, first serve one year with 47 days’ credit for time served; and two years supervised probation upon release.

Lane Jonathon Maupin, of Harvey, pleaded guilty to ingesting a controlled substance. He was ordered to complete a chemical dependency evaluation and recommended treatment, and pay $360 in fees. He was sentenced to 30 days’ confinement at the Heart of America Correctional & Treatment Center with 30 days suspended, and 360 days unsupervised probation.

Jeremy Stuart Poitra, of Dunseith, pleaded guilty to issuing a check/draft without sufficient funds or credit. He was ordered to pay $100 in fines, $23 in non-sufficient funds costs, and $93.59 in restitution.

LATE OCTOBER

Angela Diane Brooks, of Towner, pleaded guilty to false reporting to law enforcement/security officials a Class A misdemeanor. She was ordered to pay $350 in fees and complete 20 hours of community service. She was sentenced to 30 days’ confinement at HACTC with 30 days suspended and three days’ credit for time served; and one year unsupervised probation.
