RUGBY, N.D. Rugby Broadcasters was awarded the North Dakota Broadcasters Association’s Merit Award for a Public Service Commercial and a News Broadcast during the NDBA’s 2016 Teddy Awards Ceremony September 1st in Bismarck.

Teddy Awards recognize outstanding achievement and broadcasting excellence by North Dakota radio and television stations in a variety of categories. Rugby Broadcasters produced the awarding-winning PSA by Eldon Borgen on behalf of Red Ribbon Week, a campaign pledge for a drug-free America and the News Story by Bruce Allen on the Heart of America Medical Center’s Scrubs Camp.

Rugby Broadcasters owner Lila Harstad sent Borgen and Allen to accept the awards at the ceremony.

The annual awards program is open to all licensed North Dakota-based commercial radio and TV stations. The 110 entries in this year’s contest were judged by members of the American Broadcasters Association.
