Todd Gilbert Ness, of Rugby, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs while accompanied by a minor, a class A misdemeanor. He was ordered to complete a chemical dependency evaluation and recommended treatment; complete 25 hours of community service; to not consume, possess or purchase alcohol or enter a licensed establishment while under probation; be subject to random drug/alcohol testing by law enforcement; and pay $1,100 in fees. He was sentenced to 30 days’ confinement at the Heart of America Correctional & Treatment Center with 30 days suspended and one day’s credit for time served; and 18 months unsupervised probation. A class B charge of refusing to submit to a chemical test, a class B misdemeanor, was dismissed.

Vicktoria Lynn Pedie, of Bottineau, changed her plea on a July charge of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquors, a class B misdemeanor, to guilty. She was ordered to complete a chemical dependency evaluation and recommended treatment, and pay $750 in fees. She was sentenced to 30 days’ confinement at HACTC with 30 days suspended, and one year unsupervised probation.

Jay E. Brandt, of Kramer, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was ordered to complete a chemical dependency evaluation and recommended treatment; to not consume, possess or purchase alcohol or enter a licensed establishment while under probation; to participate in the 24/7 Sobriety Program; and pay $1,750 in fees. He was sentenced to 30 days’ confinement at HACTC, first serve 10 days with six served in 48-hour increments on weekends; and two years unsupervised probation.
