By Staff | Sep 30, 2016

The 2016 Prairie Corn Maze will be held on October 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be located west of Rugby Lumber on U.S. Highway 2.

In addition to the corn maze, there will be games, bounce houses, corn pool, barrel car rides, food and refreshments, and other special events.

Tickets will be available for purchase for events such as the barrel car rides and bounce houses.

Pumpkins will be made for sale the first weekend of the maze.

Fall portraits by 106B images, Bailey Nelson, will be available for purchase on Sunday, October 23rd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

After dark on the 15th and 22nd, there will be the opportunity to participate in the Flashlight Maze from 7-9:30 p.m. Interested persons must bring their own flashlights.

“The flashlight maze went over amazing last year,” Cindy Kuntz said. “The kids stayed for two hours until we eventually pulled them out. They just loved it. It’s the most fun.”

Kuntz is on the planning board for the event, along with Tami Mayer, Lindsey Bush and Lindsey Graner.

Sponsors this year include Rugby Gymnastics, Kids Next Door Daycare, Gary and Helen Laughridge, and Rugby Convention and Visitors’ Bureau.

Admission to the corn maze is $5 for adults and $3 for children age 10 and under. Admission to the flashlight maze is $5 per person.
