Heisler named to Make-a-Wish board

Randi Heisler, of Rugby, was elected as a member of Make-A-Wish North Dakota’s board of directors for fiscal year 2017.

Heisler, along with newly-elected members Donald “DJ” Campbell, of Mandan, and Heather Soleim, of Fargo, increases the size of the board to 19 members from across the state. Board members represent areas of healthcare, finance, fundraising, management, law and faith.

“Make-A-Wish is excited and fortunate to have this passionate, impressive group of community leaders join our team,” said Billi Jo Zielinkski, Make-A-Wish North Dakota president and CEO, in a recent press release. “They will no doubt enhance our already dynamic, engaged board and help us advance our mission to the North Dakota children we are privileged to serve.”

Make-A-Wish grants wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Since 1985, the North Dakota chapter has granted over 780 wishes across the state.

Board members also include Chairwoman Angela Lord, of Fargo; Vice-Chair Rev. Bruce Vold, of Hatton; Secretary Brad Dahl, of Fargo; Treasurer Greg Ellwein, of Bismarck; Bonnie Goldsberry, of Dickinson; Chris Schmid, of Fargo; Deb Thompson, of Jamestown; Eric Lunn, M.D., of Grand Forks; Jenifer Jones-Dees, M.D., of Fargo; Jennifer Holen, of Bismarck; Josh Herbold, of West Fargo; Karla Hoffelt, of Williston; Kelly Braun, of Dickinson; Lana Nicholas, D.C., of Cando; Sandy Miller, R.N., of Bottineau; and Sidney Spaeth, of Fargo.
