New ag lender at Merchants Bank
Merchants Bank has a new Agricultural Lender, Jarett Lovcik.
Lovcik, 22, is originally from Rugby his parents own the local Dairy Queen.
He graduated this past spring from North Dakota State University, where he studied Agricultural Economics.
After graduation, Lovcik and his wife, Brittany, decided to move back to Rugby. With his wife teaching in Rolette, it made sense to return home.
“Craig [Johnson] offered me the job here, and my degree was Ag/Econ, which has to do with this,” Lovcik said about why he decided to take the job. “I thought it would be a good opportunity.”
Lovcik said that he is most excited about getting to meet new customers and learning people’s operations.
“I love to see a hometown kid move back to Rugby. He and his wife decided to move back home and raise their family here,” Johnson, bank President, said about Lovcik joining the team. “Jarett is a driven to succeed kid, and with his degree in Ag/Econ and background, I knew he’d be a good fit for us. We expect him to be here long term and are looking forward to him staying here for many years to come.”
