Sheriff’s office to receive Colonel’s award
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office has been nominated for the N.D. Highway Patrol’s Colonel’s Award for Excellence.
The award is given to NDHP employees or to citizens nominated by NDHP employees to recognize efforts in serving North Dakota citizens, according to a Highway Patrol press release.
“It’s an honor for our department to be recognized for our efforts to serve the public,” Sheriff Josh Siegler said. “I am thankful for the dedication of my staff and I believe all of the individuals involved in public service in Pierce County should be recognized for their service and the efforts they have made to make our community a better place.”
The Sheriff’s office was nominated by Trooper Nevon Heisler for assistance in crash investigations and felony arrests.
“The dedication of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is second to none. They are a asset to Pierce County citizens. They quickly respond to crashes, even when the scene is outside their jurisdiction,” Heisler was quoted in a press release.
The sheriff’s office was presented the award on Friday.
