Rugby city auditor to leave post
Rugby City Auditor Elizabeth Heisey has announced her resignation this week.
Citing family reasons and economic factors, Heisey plans to move to the Houston, Texas area. Her last day on the job will be sometime in early August.
Heisey said she will be available after leaving for consultation, and that a preliminary budget will be finished before she leaves. Deputy Auditor Phyllis Johnson and Clerk Candy Munyer will be in the office.
Heisey said she is currently working on her master’s degree in business administration and will have enough credits to become a certified public accountant.
The city of Rugby posted an advertisement for the auditor position, and held interviews on Thursday for a deputy clerk position.
