All-School reunion just days away

By Staff | Jun 17, 2016

The next all-school reunion is only days away.

Organizers of the 2016 All-School Reunion have a few signature events planned, leaving time for attendees to reconnect with friends and family.

Registration for the event will be Friday, July 1, at 10 a.m. in the Rugby High School Commons Area. While there, attendees can check out the renovation work that was done to the school in 2011. Formal tours are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday.

Other events on July 1 include a picnic served by the Rugby Lions club from 5-7 p.m. at the high school; three-person golf scramble with shotgun start at 10 a.m.; opening ceremony at 8 p.m. at Johnsen Field.

On July 2, Little Flower School will hold an open house and serve root beer floats from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in honor of its 75th year; there will be a dinner at the high school from 5-7 p.m. catered by Grove’s Catering; a street dance with the band Arch Allies performing; and there will be a 5K run/walk in the morning.

On July 3 there will be a breakfast from 9-11:30 a.m. served by Modern Woodmen and Little Flower CYO; and classes will have floats in the parade.

Attendees can also purchase the Pierce County 125-year history, Rugby High School history and Rugby High School basketball books during registration, and preorder reunion shirts and jackets from i design-who will have other items in-store during the event.

There will be several events leading up to the all-school reunion, including the Village Arts’ performance of “See How They Run”; “The Voice” contestant Blind Joe performing on June 30 for Music in the Park at the Pierce County Fairgrounds, and Pierce County Fair events.

Updates are added to the RHS alumni website, rugby.k12.nd.us/rhsalumni, and to Facebook.
