Area Residents on June Ballot

Several area residents will be on the primary election ballot in June.

In the city of Rugby, four seats on the City Council are up for grabs, and three are seeking election to the city park board.

Ward 1 Councilman Bruce Allen Rheault and Ward 2 Councilman Gary Kraft are seeking reelection. Timothy Bartsch, Sr., is running for election in Ward 3 and Sue Steinke in Ward 4.

On the park board, Tonia Dosch is seeking election as a commissioner for a 2-year term. Members Mark Voeller and Tim Bartsch, Jr., are seeking re-election as 4-year commissioners.

In the county, two seats on the Board of County Commissioners are up for grabs. Mike Christenson is seeking reelection in District 2. He is challenged by Brad Odden. District 4 looks to be a contested race, with Terry Grove, Mike Black, Terry Hoffert and Alan Beaver running.

In District 14, Republican Senator Jerry Klein faces a primary challenger in Glen Baltrusch. Klein is also being challenged by Democratic candidate Dave Anderson. Republican Representatives Jon Nelson and Robin Weisz face primary challengers in Albert D. Krueger and Dennis Fred. Nelson and Weisz are also challenged by Democratic party candidates Bonita Lindseth and Mark Nelson.
