Dr. Seiler Announces Retirement

By Staff | Mar 8, 2016

On Feb. 19, Dr. Hubert Seiler announced his retirement from Heart of America Johnson Clinic. Seiler has set Oct. 28 as his final day to see patients. By the time he retires, he will have practiced in this community as a physician for over 44 years.

“I think it’s my time to retire. I wanted to give my patients ample time to prepare for this transition coming in October,” states Seiler.

“My plan is to stay here in Rugby, I have a few projects I’m working on that I will be able to dedicate more time to. I still intend to travel and volunteer for the organizations I am currently involved in,” adds Seiler.

“It is very rare these days, to have someone work at the same place for as many years as Dr. Seiler has. He has seen many Providers come and go, numerous changes in both the community and healthcare in general, along with the merge of Johnson Clinics with Heart of America Medical Center. He has mentored and motivated many young, new providers to become the exceptional professionals they are. He has also earned many accolades for his years of dedication to his patients. It’s going to be very difficult, if not impossible to find someone to fill his shoes. We want our community to know, we are working diligently to recruit another Physician who will add to our family of providers. A farewell gathering will be held in the fall so the organization and community can wish him well,” states Jeremiah Lindgren, clinic administrator.
