Local FFA Students Attend Leadership Conference

The winter leadership conference is a state wide leadership conference for ND FFA members. It is split up between the 101 Conference (8-9th grade) the 212 Conference (10-11th grade) and the 360 Conference (12th grade). These conferences are put on by current state FFA officers, former national FFA officers, and other hired motivational speakers. The conferences are held at the Ramkota Hotel in Bismarck and the Bismarck Civic Center. The students develope leadership skills, listen to motivational speakers, and network with 950 other FFA members from across North Dakota. Rugby FFA sent 19 student members to this event. Maria Blessum, Holly Vetsch, Rylee Kuntz, Brianna Leier, Lilli French, and Lexi Vetsch each received an FFA jacket through the “Blue Jackets Bright Futures” program through the ND FFA Foundation while at the Conference. Abby Volk also received a $600 grant through the ND FFA Foundation to expand her laying hen operation while she was at the Conference.
