2015 Kettle Campaign Sees Increase

By Staff | Jan 8, 2016

Aspen and Macen Heisler rang the bells at Shopko, as they do every year to help out and show the real meaning of Christmas

Bismarck, ND. The Salvation Army has completed another Red Kettle Campaign in Rugby and Pierce County. This year’s campaign raised over $2800.00, monies that will provide assistance and program services for individuals in Pierce County.

“Believe it or not, there is never a shortage of need,” said Laurie Odden, Pierce County Volunteer and Kettle Campaign Coordinator. “Requests for help by those in need are not seasonal. Recently, we provided local school children with winter gear and clothing, made possible through the generosity of others.”

Shopko and Leevers provided locations that allowed volunteer bell ringers to solicit the donations. Tabletop kettles were also set up at Cenex C-Store, Dakota Farms and Subway. Those still wishing to make a financial gift may mail a check to The Salvation Army, PO Box 853, Bismarck ND or donate online at SalvationArmyNorth.org. Designate Pierce County on your gift.
