Rugby radio station AM 1450 KZZJ was awarded the North Dakota Broadcasters Association’s Merit Award for a Public Service Commercial during the NDBA’s 2015 Teddy Awards Ceremony September 3rd in Fargo.

Teddy Awards recognize outstanding achievement and broadcasting excellence by North Dakota radio and television stations in a variety of categories. KZZJ produced the awarding-winning public service announcement, or PSA, on behalf of Pierce County Relay for Life.

KZZJ owner Lila Harstad and advertising representatives Eldon Borgen and Arron Brossart attended the awards ceremony in conjunction with NDBA’s annual fall conference.

The annual awards program is open to all licensed North Dakota-based commercial radio and TV stations. The 291 entries in this year’s contest were judged by members of the Oregon Broadcasters Association.

KZZJ Radio has been serving the Rugby Area since 1959. It is affiliated with AP News and Sports, Dakota News and Sports along with the American Ag Network and the Red River Farm Network.
