There is mowing, there is landscaping, there is gardening and then there is art. This level of art, of such beauty, of such whimsy, and where attention to detail was so evident that it made the whole so much more special. The kind you would have seen this past week at Elaine & Frank Alfstad’s property located at 132 3rd Street NE, Kerry & Scott Grochow’s property located at 409 7th Ave. SE, Cindy & David Engeland’s property located at 119 3rd Street and Helen & Gary Laughridge’s property located at 907 4th Street. These four families participated in the Rugby Garden Tour hosted by the Growing Place Daycare. According to board member Jennifer Brossart they are looking forward to doing this again next year.

It is said that every artist dips his brush into his soul and paints his own existence onto a canvas. These gardens were the canvases of the owners and their beauty stretched beyond even the wildest dreams, on display for all to see.
